Hayward Homes can design and build new homes from the Kapiti Coast to Wellington

Because we create a custom design every time, each house will be as diverse as the needs and lifestyle of our clients. From small retirement villas to sustainable houses  and large contemporary family homes, we can provide a building plan that suits you. How the Hayward Homes design process works

Initial Discussion

At this stage you will meet with our designer to discuss your needs and ideas for your new home - we have an extensive portfolio of completed homes to give you ideas. Your budget and other requirements can be discussed at this stage.

Concept Plans

After visiting the site to take levels and locate the sun, the view, and distance from neighbouring houses, we will prepare the initial concept plans. After meeting with you and making any alterations to the scheme, final concept plans will be prepared, including:

  • Floor plans set out on your section
  • Elevations
  • Colour computer generated perspective.

It will take up to 2 weeks to prepare these concept plans.

We can also build from other plans, if you have had something drawn up by another architect.

The concept plans are provided at no cost to you if you proceed with the project with Hayward Homes. If for any reason you do not proceed, a fee of $2000+gst will be invoiced to you.

Fixed Price Quotation

With your concept plans completed, we will prepare a fixed price quotation to build your new home. This will include everything from the building consent drawings to the lawns and letterbox.

We design and build to budget, with the price calculated in the preliminary stages so you can benefit from our fixed price guarantee and no hidden extras.

We have a good relationship with local subcontractors and suppliers and the benefit of this is passed on to you by way of very competitive prices.

Build and Project Management

After a Master Builders Building Contract is entered into, we will prepare the building consent drawings, obtain a building consent and commence the building of your new home.

Our project management team will guide you through all the decisions that need to be made:
  • Window aluminium colour
  • Roof and cladding colours
  • Kitchen design
  • Interior colour schemes
  • Heating options etc.

Hayward Homes has 30 years experience in managing home building projects. A completion date will be agreed and without any major weather problems your home will be completed and ready for you to move in to on this date.
